Will They sign It
The global sports memorabilia market is expected to reach $227.2 billion by 2032. Fanatics is a major player in the space, hosting signing sessions nearly every day with the world's biggest athletes. While great for collectors, we knew the internet would crave something more unexpected. Our strategy was to use our signing events to build an engaged community.
We hijacked our own signing events by putting random items in front of athletes to see if they’ll sign them. The prop ideas are crowdsourced from our community, and we give all the signed ones back to them. The series is our most popular to date, breaking all of our social benchmarks and growing a community that always tunes in to see what we’ll get signed next.
